The iPhone is taking even business users by storm, so it's time to direct our attention to some business applications for that device that can help a small business user.
We'll tackle email some other day. As far as I'm concerned, Blackberry still rules the roost of corporate email. Apple will inevitably catch up, but for now, RIMM owns that landscape.
Calendars are another issue entirely. The Blackberry sync to Outlook certainly gives me access to my calendar, but the small screen, tight controls, and finicky buttons on a Blackberry Curve, or worse, on the Pearl, make the calendar function downright ornery!
So, Apple has a built in calendar, as well as a host of applications that are available at the AppStore to help.
My favorite so far is RemindYou, which lets you see your next appointment, whatever that may be, on your phone when the screen is locked. Simple. Direct. Effective. Like all things on the iPhone.
No fancy attachments, just a very direct reminder of what you need to be thinking about next in the day.
